Joined liquor professionals from China, Korea, and Taiwan in visiting shochu and awamori distilleries, exchanging ideas on export strategies and international promotion.
From February 5th to 17th, we supported the Japanese government project “FY2024 Promotion of Japanese Alcoholic Beverages by Overseas Liquor Professionals” project by arranging transportation, accommodations, and providing interpretation services for the Awamori and Shochu segments (both are Japanese traditional distilled alcoholic beverage).

On this occasion, we visited shochu and awamori producers with expert participants from China, Korea, and Taiwan. We held in-depth discussions on how to effectively promote these beverages in overseas markets, including strategies tailored to each country. It was a valuable opportunity to gain insights into local drinking cultures and key marketing points.

Previously, we mainly focused on visiting Japanese sake breweries, but by exploring awamori and shochu distilleries in person, we gained a deeper appreciation for their unique brewing cultures and regional characteristics. Building on these new connections, we hope to propose future tours featuring shochu and awamori.
We remain committed to contributing, in our own small way, to the global promotion of Japanese alcoholic beverages.
