Tohoku Area 2025
We were responsible for arranging the itinerary and providing tour escort services for the "Sake Tour for Influencers" organized by the Japan Sake Brewers Association. (Tohoku area)
This project aimed to raise international awareness of Japanese alcoholic beverages and provide educational opportunities for overseas experts. It consisted of two parts: a sommelier-focused tour of sake breweries (five participants) and a bartender-focused tour of shochu and awamori breweries (five participants).
Here, we introduced the sommelier-focused sake tour for the Tohoku area.
■ Sommelier-focused Sake Tour (Tohoku Area)
Participants visited Saura, Kanbai Shuzo, Akita Prefectural Comprehensive Food Research Center, Akita Shurui Seizo, Kodama Jozo, Saiya Shuzoten, Tenju Shuzo, Dewatsuru Shuzo, and Akita Konno Shoten.
The tour, which allowed participants to learn about research and development related to yeast and koji at specialized institutions and experience how this is reflected in sake brewing at each brewery, was praised as a "tour to learn about the fusion of science and tradition."
Based on the knowledge gained through these experiences, we will continue to design professional alcoholic beverage education programs and strengthen collaboration with local breweries.
